When we believe what the Bible teaches about the nature of man and the effects of the Fall, we can comprehend the grace of God. The “new man” is re-made in the image of God in righteousness. Our old pattern of ignoring God has is now changed.

Ephesians 4:22-24, That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts. And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

Through Christ we are not only forgiven through for our acts of individual sin, but we are given a new nature. Jesus puts a new man in the suit—not just a new suit on the man. When a person is changed by Christ, attitudes will change as well. Believing this to be true is what keeps the devil at bay. If you do not know who you are in Christ and what you are entitled to will leave an opening for the enemy to deceive you about your identity.
